LEGAL
TERMS OF USE
Last updated: 31-08-26
1. The Services
Stitchplot helps you turn images into editable pixel-embroidery stitch maps. Stoneplot helps you turn images into rhinestone and stone maps. The Services allow you to upload or select an image, adjust a design, create an output and, if signed in, save projects in your private library.
The Services are creative tools. They do not provide legal, manufacturing, embroidery, rhinestone-placement, safety, medical, professional-design or intellectual-property advice. You are responsible for checking the suitability, dimensions, colour selection and production requirements of every output before using it in a physical product or commercial process.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account. Notify us promptly at info@massill.uk if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
You may create an account using an email address and password or, where available, Google sign-in. If you use Google sign-in, Google's own terms and privacy policies also apply to your use of that sign-in service.
If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Services only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. The Services are not directed to children under 13.
3. Your materials and outputs
Your materials include images, files, text, settings, palettes, patterns and other content you upload, create or save. Outputs include the maps, previews and export files produced from your materials.
As between you and us, you retain any rights you hold in your materials and outputs. We do not claim ownership of them.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, process and transmit your materials only as necessary to operate, secure, support and improve the Services for you. This licence ends when you delete the relevant project or account, subject to reasonable backup, legal and security-retention periods described in the Privacy Policy.
We will not use your private materials or outputs for advertising, public display or AI-model training without your separate, affirmative permission.
4. Your responsibilities
You represent that you have all rights, permissions and consents needed to upload and use your materials and to create the outputs. You must not upload, create or use content that:
- infringes copyright, trade marks, privacy, publicity or other third-party rights;
- is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, harmful, abusive or deceptive;
- contains malware or attempts to compromise the Services;
- includes personal data of another person without a lawful basis and, where required, consent; or
- breaches applicable law or these Terms.
Generating a stitch map or stone map does not clear copyright or trademark rights in the source image. You remain responsible for obtaining permission to use an image, character, artwork, logo or other protected material, particularly for commercial production, sharing or sale.
5. Private library and deletion
Your saved projects are private to your account; they are not made public by the Services merely because you save them. You can delete an individual saved project from your library. Deleting a project removes its active record and associated stored source and preview assets from the Services, subject to the backup and legal-retention limits in the Privacy Policy.
6. Our intellectual property
The Services, including their software, interfaces, branding, designs, documentation and underlying functionality, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use the Services under these Terms, no rights are granted to you.
You must not copy, rent, sell, sublicense, scrape, reverse engineer, interfere with, bypass security measures for, or create a competing service from the Services, except where applicable law does not permit that restriction.
Names and colour references for third-party thread, stone, software or hardware brands belong to their respective owners. Any compatibility reference does not imply endorsement or affiliation.
7. Acceptable use and suspension
You must not use automated tools, scripts or bots to overload, scrape or interfere with the Services; attempt unauthorised access; bypass usage controls; impersonate another person; or use the Services in a way that may damage us, other users or third parties.
We may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the Services, investigate suspected breaches, comply with law, or protect users and third parties. Where practical, we will explain the reason and provide a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue.
8. Availability, changes and exports
We aim to keep the Services available and reliable, but they are provided on an as available basis. Features may change, be suspended or be removed for maintenance, security, legal or operational reasons. Save and keep your own local copies of important source files and exports; do not rely on the Services as your sole archive.
We do not guarantee that any output will be error-free, visually identical to a source image, fit for a particular purpose, compatible with a particular machine, or free of third-party rights.
9. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided without warranties, whether express, implied or statutory. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, loss of profit, loss of data, lost goodwill, production loss or business interruption arising from use of, or inability to use, the Services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including any rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer-protection law.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where you materially breach these Terms, create legal or security risk, or where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and governing law.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice through the Services or by email where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Services before the changes take effect.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The courts of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or connected with these Terms, except where mandatory law gives you the right to bring a matter elsewhere.
